Come Enjoy the Exciting Last Weekend!

Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9

This is the final weekend to enjoy the 2008 Philadelphia Flower Show! You'll find gardens in full bloom, live jazz music, and even a toe-tapping, New Orleans parade that weaves across the Show floor.

The doors will officially close at 6pm on Sunday evening, but there's still time to be a part of this timeless Philadelphia tradition.

First-time exhibitor Cabrini College of Radnor, PA, found inspiration in the seemingly simplest of sources: a postcard. Educator Howard Holden explains, “We found an antique postcard showing the college when it was still an estate house. We’re recreating that image, complete with a pergola [pictured above] and thick woodland.” This fine exhibit is a fitting way to recognize Cabrini’s 50th anniversary.

Elsewhere in Hall B, you will find displays from other educational institutions, such as the Williamson School, Delaware County Technical School, Delaware Valley College, and Camden County Technical School. Many offer plant and gardening classes, as well as other fascinating courses related to horticulture.

Show visitors are stopped in their tracks by the charming, New Orleans-inspired Subaru display. Here, visitors ask Subaru experts all their automotive questions, as well as check out the sharp set of wheels parked right in the exhibit itself.

Spring's blossoms are
still a month away, but you can come to the Pennsylvania Convention Center today and enjoy acres and acres of flowers.

From tulips to orchids to spring trees in full bloom, there's something to appeal to every gardener. Plus you will find great planting ideas for your own property.

Returning home from work would be extra joyful if you had a front door this beautiful. Part of the artistic classes, Entryways offer great ideas for containers, hanging baskets, and urns. Here is a multiple-ribbon-winning display from the Mark Cordes family and Toni DeGeorge. Wow!

“We wanted to playfully show what the bayou might have looked like before people arrived,” says Tom Taylor, representing Irwin Landscaping of Hockessin, Delaware.

Here, amidst the hanging Spanish moss, you will find a band of crocs entertaining turtles and bayou birds with a back-country song. Ferns and coral bells reside among the critters.
