Tiptoe through the Tulips!

Monday, March 5 & Tuesday, March 6

Can you feel Spring yet? You will at the Philadelphia Flower Show, where tons of tulips and other spring bulbs are in full bloom. From bold Darwin Hybrids to frilly Parrots, you will find tulips for everyone in the “Grow It” section of Hall B. Aren’t they gorgeous!

The Philadelphia Flower Show is the perfect place to spend a day with your family. Here, we see three generations of Show visitors enjoying the exhibits: grandmother Mary, daughter Denica, and adorable granddaughters, Ava and Helena.

Says Denica, “The Flower Show really does offer something for everyone.”

Love shopping? Who doesn’t! There are hundreds of great items for sale at the Official Flower Show Shoppe in Hall A. All sporting beautiful floral artwork, you can buy t-shirts, mugs, neckties and scarves…and much more!

And if that isn’t enough, toddle over to the vast Marketplace in Hall C to find hundreds of booths selling everything from plants to garden sculpture to complete greenhouses and sunrooms.

While walking through the Ealain Wood in Hall A, keep an eye out for an impish Irish creature that is delighting Flower Show visitors.

A blend of faerie, pooka, and changeling, this mischievous immortal can be seen playing hide-and-seek with children or spinning gold on his magical loom. Try to see if you can catch him darting between the giant tree trunks throughout the “Legends of Ireland” display.

Created by the young men of the Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trade (in Media, PA), this lovely display showcases herbs, vegetables, and medicinal plants.

Williamson student Dave Richards explains, “The exhibit is an enclosed Medieval cloister garden—we wanted to create something very beautiful and very intimate.”
