Individual & Club Entries

Individuals and garden clubs from around the world come to the Show to enter the "Competitive Classes" with over 5,000 well-tended plants, exotic flower arrangements, and floral displays, all vying for prestigious ribbons and awards. If you are interested in entering the 2012 Show, please click here.

The Competitive Classes are divided into three sections: Artistic, Horticulture, and Design. Many of the titles for the Artistic and Design classes are linked to the theme of the current Show.

Artistic Classes include Arrangements (Pedestals, Small and Medium Niches, Miniature Arrangements, Galleria, Festival of Flowers), Jewelry (made from dried plant material), and Pressed Plants. Entries in the Artistic classes are accepted after the Exhibitor’s Guide is published each fall.

The Horticulture classes welcome expert and novice gardeners who enter plants for judging by the nation’s most distinguished horticulturists. These entries, including bulbs, succulents, hanging baskets, terrariums, and orchids, are among the most popular exhibits at the Show. Requirements for each class are outlined in the Exhibitor’s Guide, available in September.
