2010 Flower Show Press Conference

Gettin' Ready for the Show:
Giant Water Plants From Longwood Gardens

Join Longwood Gardens' section gardener Tim Jennings as he shows us the enormous Victoria "water platters" he and his team are growing for the 2010 Flower Show. It's all the more impressive since they are growing these warm-weather, tropical plants in the dead of winter and then must carefully transport them 30 miles to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia...in frosty late February. An amazing journey!

Gettin' Ready for the Show:
Stoney Bank Nurseries

Meet Jack Blandy of Stoney Bank Nurseries, in Glen Mills, PA, who's preparing for the 2010 Philadelphia International Flower Show. Here Jack and his son Joe can be seen creating a Maori totem for their exhibit, which is based on the gardens of New Zealand.

Nonna Begonia
A Short Film about Sylvia Lin, Famed Flower Show Plantswoman

In this short film, you will learn about Sylvia Lin, who has been entering her spectacular plants in the Philadelphia Flower Show since 1976. From begonias to succulents and more, Lin's plants are beautiful, meticulous, and simply perfect. You will also travel behind the scenes to witness the elaborate process Sylvia and her team go through preparing and transporting these horticultural specimens to the Show each winter.
